Woorabinda Aboriginal Shire Council is pleased to announce the success of its first Interagency Meeting for the year, bringing together key service providers and stakeholders committed to improving outcomes for our community.

Mayor Terence Munns said the meeting reinforced the importance of a united and coordinated approach to delivering social services in Woorabinda.

“Our community benefits most when agencies work together with a shared purpose,” Mayor Munns said. “This meeting was an important step in ensuring we are aligned in our efforts to deliver the best possible programs, services and outcomes for the residents of Woorabinda.”

Discussions focused on strengthening collaboration between organisations, improving transparency of programs, and reinforcing accountability among service providers. A key priority highlighted was the reduction of duplicated services to ensure resources are used effectively and efficiently to meet community needs.

“We want to see strong partnerships, clear communication and genuine collaboration,” Mayor Munns said. “By reducing duplication and increasing transparency, we can make sure services are targeted, meaningful and delivering real results for our people.”

Mayor Munns and Councillors thanked all agencies and representatives who attended and contributed to the productive discussions.

“Council appreciates the strong attendance and active participation at this first meeting. We look forward to building on this momentum at our next Interagency Meeting in March.”
